Scope and Contents
The collection consists of clippings including a Wesleyan Argus publication of student awards in 1976 and an article of the elimination of the convocation ceremony, Honors Convocation programs which list the honors and awards earned by Wesleyan students from 1933 to 1967 with the exception of 1945, 1955, and 1956, Honors Dinner programs for 1971 and 1973, President’s Reception programs for 1974 and 1975 with an invitation tipped inside the cover, marshal’s notices to the faculty of Wesleyan University regarding Convocation, and a transcript of a speech.
All of the programs list awards and honors given to Wesleyan students, and some rank enrolled students by class and letter grade. Some programs also come with information on new faculty.
