Scope and Contents
The College of Quantitative Studies (CQS) records is a compilation of documents pertaining to the College of Quantitative Studies at Wesleyan University. Records cover the administration of the college including proposals, reports, and evaluations from University subcommittees. Also includes student examinations and evaluations for both course work and for the college itself along with files for the various real world student projects completed to assist Wesleyan University professors and local businesses and goverment agencies including Raymond Engineering, Valley Oil Company, Hartford Electric Light Co., Connecticut Department of Motor Vehicles, Naugatuck Chemical, Red Wing Oil Company, and Hartford Seminary Foundation.

Biographical / Historical
The College of Quantitative Studies (CQS) was proposed and implemented at Wesleyan University in summer 1960. It was the third college in the College Plan proposed by President Butterfield as a multi-disciplinary college for math, science, and economics students. The College was closed in 1967 due to lack of students and narrowing of focus.

Collection is arranged into three series:
- Series I: Administrative files
- Series II: Examinations and evaluations
- Series III: Student projects
Series I and II are in original order given to the archives and Series III is organized chronologically and then alphabetically by institution.
