The collection consists of clippings, Leigh Hunt’s personal correspondence and correspondence regarding Leigh Hunt including a number of letters between R. Malcom Sills and A. Francis Trams, between R. Malcom Sills and Payson G. Gates and between Kathleen R. Witten and Charles Richard Sanders, a memorandum, notes, an epitaph for Leigh Hunt written by William Allingham, an excerpt from a biography on Leigh Hunt, receipts for various types of alcohol in Leigh hunt’s name, a post card with the image of the James Henry Leigh Hunt portrait painting by Samuel Lawrence, a print of an engraving by H. Meyer from a drawing of Leigh Hunt by J. Hayter, a notebook belonging to Leigh Hunt with only one page marked, a handwritten notebook recording the postages expended in connection with memorial to Leigh Hunt in Kensal Green Cemetery with clippings tipped inside the cover, a copy of the Dickensian with an article title “The Proposed Benefit for Leigh Hunt”, a reprinted article titled “A Leigh Hunt-Byron Letter” from the Keats-Shelley Journal, Bulletin of the New York Public Library containing “Leigh Hunt’s Marginalia”, sheet music for “Mary, Mary, List, Awake!” written by Leigh Hunt and composed by John Whitaker, a paper about Leigh Hunt written by David Sills, and a biographical and critical bibliography of Leigh Hunt written by R.
