Biographical / Historical
Edward C. Schneider was Daniel Ayers Professor of Biology at Wesleyan (1919-1945) and a founder of the field of aviation physiology. In 1911, as a faculty member at Colorado College, Schneider took part in a series of high-altitude experiments on Pikes Peak as part of a team led by the noted British Scientist J.B.S. Haldane.
