Scope and Contents
The Davison Art Center event posters is compromised of posters, flyers, and mailings for exhibits and events held at the center. The collection is focused on events from the 1970s and 1980s. The bulk of the collection is for art exhibitions of Wesleyan artists. A few events were traveling exhibits from other art museums or fine paintings housed within the Wesleyan collection.

Biographical / Historical
The Davison Art Center holds Wesleyan's collection of more than 24,000 works of art on paper, chiefly prints, and photographs. The center hosts different events and exhibitions throughout the academic year. The center is named after Wesleyan alumn George Davison and his wife Harriet, who were the largest contributors to Wesleyan's print collection. The Davisons helped established the Davison Art Center in 1952.
