The bestiary is a serious scientific work: to approach it as A Bad Child's book of Beasts is to lose its fascination. It was translated and edited by T. H. White; calligraphed in the Northern Gothic hand, illustrated, respectfully edited and completed this December 15, 1974 by Pamela Bard.
