 File — Box: 1

Scope and Contents

In this interview with Willie Zabar and Melanie Berman, Jeanine Basinger describes how the Wesleyan campus has changed over her long employment of fifty-five years and tenure as a film professor, starting in 1969 at the invitation of John Frazer, during which she worked to help establish new archives and resources for the film department. She recalls the impact construction and expansion has had on university life, as well as the establishment of a theater with her name. She also mentions her employment at the Wesleyan publishing company (American Education Publications) when she was hired to co-run their children’s book club (the Weekly Reader Children’s Book Club) and the transition under the Xerox corporation.
