The Samuel M. Tuthill papers include Wesleyan orientation materials from 1935, Wesleyan publications from the late 1930s and early 1940s, some financial documents, and a photograph album that includes images of 1936 Middletown Flood, the New England Hurricane of 1938, construction of the Arrigoni Bridge between Middletown and Portland, the Wesleyan campus during winter, Wesleyan classrooms, the Sigma Nu fraternity, tobacco farming, and a commencement ceremony.
