Scope and Contents

From the Collection:

The collection is comprised of three main subjects of material: correspondence, ephemera and typescripts of Dodge's papers. The correspondence includes both personal and professional letters between Dodge and his colleagues and family, as well as letters between Dodge's colleague Paul W. Stansbury and his former students as Stansbury collected testimonials to commemorate Dodge's sixty-fifth birthday. There is also a number of letters of sympathy to Dodge's wife, Henrietta, following his death in 1942. The ephemera includes records such as postcards, photographs, awards, acceptance letters, and newspaper clippings. The typescripts represent a range of Dodge's scientific and academic writings throughout his career, published between 1894 and 1948.
