Biographical / Historical
Albert E. Van Dusen was a member of the Wesleyan class of 1938. While at Wesleyan, Van Dusen majored in History, founded the Outing Club, and was inspired by teachers such as George M. Dutcher (American History professor). After leaving Wesleyan, he received an MA and PhD from the University of Pennsylvania. In 1952, Van Dusen was appointed Connecticut's State Historian, producing a number of works on Connecticut history. Van Dusen passed away in 1999.
