Scope and Contents
"Swimming at Wesleyan" gives a history of Wesleyan swimming, including pool construction, meet results, and team accomplishments. It also profiles a few swimmers, and lists the events and times of seemingly all Wesleyan swimmers.
"History of Soccer at Wesleyan" begins with an overview of McCurdy’s involvement with Wesleyan Soccer, details several noteworthy games, provides season overviews, contains McCurdy’s musings on the evolution of soccer as a sport, and lists team outstanding players, captains and managers.
Reminiscences serves as McCurdy’s autobiography, detailing his schooling and Wesleyan career, including his mastery of several previously unplayed sports he was expected to coach and involvement with the war effort. It also includes an article McCurdy published in the Wesleyan Alumni magazine.

Abstract
The Hugh McCurdy Wesleyan athletic histories is a three-part collection, containing two bound typescripts written by Wesleyan Physical Education Professor and Coach Hugh McCurdy: Swimming At Wesleyan 1917-1971 and History of Soccer At Wesleyan, as well as one envelope containing the typescript of McCurdy’s Reminiscences circa 1976.
