Biographical / Historical
Marian Vaine graduated from Middletown High School in February 1925. Attended Connecticut College and graduated May 1929. Listed in the “Faculty and Students of Wesleyan University, 1930-1931” directory as working (probably as a secretary) in the Philosophy and Psychology Department until the 1934-35 directory, when she is listed as a secretary of the Music and Philosophy Department. In about 1946 she became secretary of the Music Department, a position she held until about 1976.
