Biographical / Historical
Peter Starbird Boynton, (1919-1971), was a member of Wesleyan’s faculty from 1956 until his death in January 1971. At the time of his death, Mr. Boynton was senior tutor and co-chairman of the College of Letters. He was the author of three published novels and a number of short stories.

Abstract

This unprocessed collection contains materials from his writings, professional activities and personal life.

Immediate Source of Acquisition
The papers were presented to Wesleyan University in the fall of 1973 by the Boynton estate, via Professor of German Arthur S. Wensinger, his literary executor.
