Scope and Contents
Papers collected by Stephen Lee Dyson (Wesleyan department of Classics 1963-90) concerning Dyson's role as director of the Wesleyan museum (1970-77), including reports, correspondence, item inventories, budgets, and subject files. Also includes proposals for establishing an interdisciplinary archaeology program (1970-74, 1990) and summary reports of Wesleyan digs in Italy led by Dyson.

Biographical / Historical
Stephen Dyson was a professor of classics at Wesleyan. During his time he was also the director of the Wesleyan museum and led archaeological digs both in Connecticuit and abroad.
