Scope and Contents
The Susan Fetherston Frazer papers contain various papers and writings from Wesleyan French Professor Susan Fetherston, who taught at Wesleyan University from 1965-1990. The collection consists of several photographs of original drawings (potentially by Robert Desnos), Professor Frazer’s CV, French correspondence, a bound French pamphlet on Robert Desnos, clippings and various publications about Desnos’ life and artistic endeavors, Wesleyan memoranda, several typewritten French and English Frazer essays on Desnos’ Rrose Selavy, further writing on Desnos and Marcel Duchamp, newspaper clippings, and a Xeroxed copy of Desnos’ Corps et biens (including Rose Selavy).

Biographical / Historical
Susan Fetherston Frazer was a professor of French at Wesleyan for twenty years. In 1960, she married professor John Frazer whose papers are also in the archives.
Susan passed away from cancer in 1992.
