The Classic
Scope and Contents
The Classic, or College Monthly is an early student publication of Wesleyan University. From the first issue it was noted that the publication will be "principally literary, diversified with occasional philosophical and religious articles. Without meddling in party politics, we shall frequently comment upon passing events, but shall mainly confine ourselves to those which have a connection with literature."
