Scope and Contents
The Center for the Arts (CFA) / Zilkha Gallery event posters contains gallery posters, small prints and mailings advertising exhibitions, and events. The majority of the material relates to events at the Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery, sponsored by the Center for the Arts (CFA). The collection gives an overview of the types of exhibitions that took place in the 1970s and 1980s. The exhibits and events are by Wesleyan students and alumni with a few traveling exhibits from outside artists.

Biographical / Historical
Wesleyan University's Center for the Arts opened in the fall of 1973. Undergraduate programs are offered in Art and Art History, Dance, Music and Theater, and graduate programs in Music. Performance and exhibition spaces include Crowell Concert Hall, World Music Hall, CFA Hall, CFA Theater, Davison Art Center, and the Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery. The Ezra and Cecile Zilkha Gallery presents solo and group exhibitions and installations that explore contemporary issues, often through an interdisciplinary lens.
