Includes library annual reports (1984-2001); documents relating to the implementation of the Notis automated library system (1986-86); CTW library consortium formation and governance; campus committees; Oberlin Group libraries documentation; library staff meetings and training; addresses; grants and foundation proposals; licensing agreements with database vendors; library building furnishings and fabric samples; and commissioned portrait of President Etherington (1999-2000).
Series 2. Restricted. [accession 2003-38] Subject files and documents, FY1989-FY2003. Each file or series of documents is numbered, and corresponds to a contents list usually placed at the beginning of each FY. Contents include appointments, university-wide budgeting and planning.

Biographical / Historical
The univeristy librarian is named after Caleb T. Winchester. Winchester graduated Wesleyan in 1869. He stayed in Middletown where he was librarian until 1873 and a professor of rhetoric and English literature until 1890.
