Biographical / Historical
Freddye Hill came to Wesleyan as the Dean of the College in July of 1998. Before coming to Wesleyan, she was the Vice President for Student Affairs and then the Academic Dean at Spelman College, her alma mater (class of 1968). Before that Dr. Hill served as the Dean of the College at Haverford from
1984-1988.
During her time as Dean of Wesleyan University, Dr. Hill helped implement the University Scholarship program. Freddye Hill resigned her position as Dean of the College on October 22, 2003. The reasons around her resignation were not made public.
