Biographical Note
Born July 17, 1819 in Boston, Massachusetts. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1840 from Wesleyan University and a Masters of Arts degree in 1843. He ws a Methodist Episcopal minister and later became a manufacturer and writer. He died August 3, 1892 in Middletown, Connecticut.
