Scope and Contents

This collection contains memorabilia from the life of William Warren Dunn ('26), with particular focus on his time as a student and athlete at Wesleyan University. The materials include a number of photographs: Dunn and his teammates and classmates, photographs of the Wesleyan swim and football teams, photographs of the Eclectic fraternity brothers, photographs of Wesleyan buildings. The materials also include newspaper clippings highlighting Dunn's academic and athletic participation and acheivements, programs from football matches and Wesleyan commencement, a leather-covered sports calendar for the year 1923, small leatherbound graduation programs, a leatherbound miniature Wesleyan datebook, and a sample of Dunn's childhood artwork.

Arrangement

The collection was received in no discernable order and was stored in a single slim hollinger box until processing. Upon processing, the collection was refoldered and reboxed, and split into two series: Photographs, ephemera, and correpondence, and Progams and pamphlets.

Immediate Source of Acquisition

The collection was received by Wesleyan's Special Collections Librarian and University Archivist, Elizabeth A. Swaim in 1983, sent from Katharine Dunn Huppertz.
