Scope and Contents

Gollum is an excerpt from The Hobbit written by J. R. R. Tolkein. It was designed by Nicole C. Hendricken and printed on the press of awk006 underground. The text was set in Bembo 12 and freehand 28; the illustrations were cut from linoleum, then pressed with a spoon. Both the book and its designer owe a great deal to David Schorr.
