Biographical / Historical
Louise (Lucy) Wilby Knight was a history major of the class of 1972. During her time at Wesleyan, she solidified an interest in feminist history that has continued throughout her career. In her final year at Wesleyan, Knight completed a history thesis on the subject of Wesleyan's first period of coeducation, 1872-1912. She has since published two biographies of Jane Addams, who was the co-founder of Chicago's Hull House and a noted women's rights activist during the late 1800s.
