Student movements

The Henry "Hank" Anderson papers on student activism contain his collection of papers on student activism on college campuses.

Papers created or collected by Herb Arnold. The first folder has materials related to Wesleyan history in the late 1960s (anti-Vietnam activities and documents). The other three folders contain information on the College of Letters for classes in 1966 and 1967, and various other documents.

The records from the Justice for Janitors student led movement.

The collection includes statements from the Committee on Environmental Awareness, Connecticut Citizens Conference, Nuclear Resistance Group and Students Opposed to Nuclear Arms Race. Materials include meeting minutes, flyers, notes and Wesleyan and Connecticut press on their activism and other notes and news from the groups. Campus news articles and memos provide accounts of participation in national protests and correspondence with students who were arrested for various protests.

This collection contains documents that are related to or from the group COPUS either nationally or on the Wesleyan campus.

The collection primarily focuses on the activities and evolution of the LGBTQ community at Wesleyan University from 1974-2006 and is comprised of a variety of records, including fliers, newspaper articles, publications, journals, t-shirts, and other ephemera.
