Translated version of New Testament, book of Matthew, into the local Chinese dialect. Created under the direction of Moses Clark White and is inscribed for the Missionary Lyceum of Wesleyan University. Additional handwritten note reads "Characters used as phonetics and not according to classical signification. Intelligible to people of Fuhchau only."
