Paul O. Krumm collection on Middletown printing
Paul Otto Krumm, (1882-1979), was a printer who worked at Pelton & King printers and bookbinders from 1903-1925, and then at the Middletown Press until 1959. This collection consists of one archival box of general material relating to his life and interests and a 100-page scrapbook with specimens of print jobs he did for Pelton's during his time there. This includes many programs for local events, business cards and advertisements for local businesses and items printed for Wesleyan.
Long Lane School photographs
The Long Lane photographs includes copies of historical photographs (the originals are held in the Connecticut State Library), photographs of Long Lane buildings, and digital photographs of the interiors of buildings prior to demolition.
William Manchester papers
Correspondence, manuscript drafts, proofs, galleys, extensive research and reference materials, photographs, and other documentation relating to Manchester's professional career, his eighteen books and dozens of articles and other writings, and personal affairs, including his college years, awards, speeches, financial and legal matters, the construction of his Middletown house, and travels. Also includes scrapbooks, audio and video tapes and computer files, and realia.
William E. Mead papers
William E. Mead was an alumnus of Wesleyan University and served as professor at the school, in addition to teaching and administration at high schools. His wife, Kate Mead Hurd, was a physician and author. The Meads travelled extensively in Europe and other parts of the world. The William E. Mead papers include diaries recording his life and travels, correspondence and other materials removed from the diaries, and journals and a photograph album of a trip to Iceland in 1891.
